Nai-Harn Beach
Nai-Harn Beach – Phuket’s most beautiful beach in a National Park
*** Elected best beach in Thailand on TripAdvisor 2015 – Traveler’s Choice 2015!
The Mangosteen free beach shuttle brings you to Nai-Harn Beach, one of the very best beaches in all of Asia.
South of Kata Noi and north of Promthep Cape, Nai-Harn is not Phuket’s longest beach, but it borders the most gorgeous lagoon on the island. The middle of the beach is dominated by the Samnak Song Nai Han Monastery, which has obstructed excessive development and is the reason that the beach is generally less crowded than other spots on the southern part of the island. The water quality is best on the Island, crystal clear and clean.
In 2015 all commercial activities have been cleared from the beach. It now looks beautiful and there is a lot more space available. We recommend bringing an umbrella and a mat as the sun loungers’ space has been reduced to only 10% of the beaches space. Beach accessories can be bought at reasonable prices directly at Nai-Harn Beach. There are two so called 10% zones in which vendors are allowed to rent umbrellas and mats, however they are expected to be sold out during high season.
Nearby Promthep Cape is famous for Phuket’s best sunsets, which are often fiery and spectacular.
There is a variety of beach restaurants and bars right behind the beach, ideal for a relaxed lunch. Local Thai and Western dishes are available. Nai-Harn Beach still remains less commercial than the main beaches Patong, Kata and Karon and maintains his status to be the most popular beach amongst the local expat and Thai community.
The water temperature is warm all year, usually between 28 and 32 degrees.
Are you in for a walk? Or how about some jogging in the morning? Nai Harn Lake is a well-known location for locals and visitors, so if you like a nice morning run with fresh air from the sea in your nose, this is for you. Nai Harn Lake is the perfect spot for a morning hike and there also is a free of charge, public fitness park.
The Mangosteen team frequently offers morning hikes from Nai Harn to Promthep Cape, passing Yanui Beach, the windmill viewpoint and ending at the most famous sunset viewpoint in Thailand.
