The Mangosteen Resort is hands down one of the best hotels in Phuket. It's expensive, but well worth every penny. It's located on a secluded hilltop away from the busy overpopulated beach areas. I watched the sunrise from my room which great. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are incredible. The jacuzzi villas are amazing with an outdoor shower and jacuzzi. The service was outstanding. They arranged local tours, gave good advice on shopping and other areas of interest. Arranged a free ride to a local restaurant instead of calling a taxi. The pool area is great and very relaxing. The hotels restaurant is great and the breakfast buffet is amazing. The spa is probably one of the best in Phuket as well. A great place for a romantic getaway.

	Absolutely fabulous hotel, was only there for one night before heading off to a wedding but one night was enough to know that I'll definitely be staying there on my return to Thailand. This is a beautiful boutique hotel and is exactly as described on the website. It is set on top of a hill but the ocean is visible on two sides. There is a constant breeze by the pool which is a relief from the 35degree heat in Phuket in winter. It is a perfect location for a romantic or restful getaway but it is also quite remote. There are few locations to walk to and you need to use the hotel limo (not cheap) to go to Phuket town or other locations. There is a free shuttle to the beach and back however. Our villa was delightful and the bed comfortable and LARGE! All villas are on hills so if you have problems walking, this is not for you. The spa was wonderful and the spa staff very knowledgeable. In fact, all the staff at the hotel were charming and worked very hard to make us feel welcome. The restaurant was excellent and portions were ample and prices quite reasonable. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was hot and tasty with plenty of Western and Asian selections. Room service was available if required. We took the John Grey afternoon sea kayak tour through the hotel and it was absolutely outstanding and not to be missed. We travelled extensively in Thailand for over a month and this hotel was a perfect, quiet oasis that enabled us to recover at the end of our trip. However, a warning... bring plenty to read as there is very little to do but sit by the pool and sip cold drinks! Jack A., Canada

	This is our second holiday in Phuket and it exceeded our expectations. It is said that any business is only as good as its staff. Well, at The Mangosteen, all the staff have been superb. Well managed, very helpful and polite and obviously well trained. The pool area is outstanding, spa fantastic and rooms beautifully designed and decorated. 	Honestly I don’t know what you could do to make a stay more pleasant. We used all the services provided from Limousine, Spa, restaurant and tours. The staff at Mangosteen were more than willing to ensure a pleasant experience. Your staff is to be commented on your professional, polite and service provided. 	My company rewarded me for my accomplishments with a one week vacation at the Mangosteen Resort. It was the most beautiful week I could imagine. Great attention was paid to all architectural detail. My room faced the ocean with views of the fishing boats going to sea every morning and sunsets in the evening. The staff was always gracious and the food excellent.
